Intelligent street lighting system control GPRS, PLC, LTE, Radio signal

To ensure that the system is flexible and adaptable to each client and specific project conditions, we have adapted the controllers to use several communication technologies: GPRS technology with SIM cards, PLC Cable Control System and Radio Signal System. Depending on the local network coverage and specific requirements, you can use a single open communication protocol or combine them in hybrid implementations to meet the needs of the project. This generates unprecedented deployment opportunities, but also allows for rapid deployment and commissioning in case of existing public coverage.

Our smart controllers ensure continuous, seamless and autonomous street lighting operation. The system offers lamp level control and feedback capabilities, reducing the overall network management effort and increasing lamp efficiency. You can choose from our pre-programmed schedules, plan your own schedule or manually control each street lamp according to your needs. Furthermore, if communication fails for any reason, the smart street lighting system controllers are smart enough to continue operating the lamps independently while trying to re-establish a live connection.

More than control, deep network awareness. WE offer a detailed map view of all street lights and lighting panels, with complete information and electrical diagnostics. The systems monitor a wide range of electrical parameters (voltage, current, active power, reactive power, apparent power, active energy, reactive energy, power factor, frequency, etc.).

Autonomous switching on/off and dimming

Street lighting operates autonomously, using intelligent programming algorithms based on an astrological calendar, light level sensors or motion detectors – for all lamps with electronic or electromagnetic ballasts, as well as for architectural lighting.

Network optimization

VNS Bulgaria Ltd. offers detailed electrical parameters and advanced analytical reporting tools to understand trends, reduce energy losses, improve lighting policies and increase overall street lighting satisfaction.

Planning and Maintenance

Faults are reported in real time and automated processes inform support teams of ongoing issues with full details, including required repairs, spare parts management and GPS coordinates.

Smart City Integration

The smart street lighting system allows for the subsequent control of compatible sensors and Internet of Things applications. In addition, it integrates with other city systems and smart city platforms by connecting to an API protocol.

GPRS, 3G, 4G

GPRS is a low-power wide area (LPWA) technology standard published by 3GPP. It supports IoT through lower device complexity and extended coverage, while allowing the reuse of the LTE installed base. Supported by all major mobile device, chipset and module manufacturers, LTE-M networks will coexist with GPRS, 3G and 4G mobile networks and will benefit from all network operators' security and privacy features.

PLC от захранването

VNS PLC is a powerful communication technology for modern street lighting systems. Power Line Communication (PLC) is a technology that allows data to be sent over existing power cables. This means that with only power cables that are driven to an electronic device (for example), it can simultaneously power it and control/extract data from it in a half-duplex manner. It features constant communication, real-time lighting commands and has been tested in dozens of large-scale implementations around the world.

Radio Signal

Sigfox is a cellular-style communications technology that provides low power, low data rate, and low communication cost for IoT and M2M applications. Sigfox uses Ultra-Narrow Band (UNB) technology, which allows very low transmitter power levels to be used while maintaining a stable data connection, using unlicensed ISM radio frequency bands. The simple and easy-to-deploy star cellular infrastructure has fueled its current widespread global availability.

LoRaWAN

LoRaWAN is a low-power wide area network (LPWAN) specification that addresses key IoT requirements such as secure two-way communication, mobility, and location. It provides seamless interoperability between smart things without the need for complex local installations, and gives back the freedom to the user, developer, and business by enabling IoT deployment.

Supported frequency: Europe EU 868MHz
